When people talk about Australia–India collaboration, it often sounds like a policy conversation. But on the ground, it’s really about people, partnerships, and practical ways to work better together.
That spirit was front and centre on 19 February 2026, when VT Digital leaders Surender Vikram Singh and Nitin Jain joined government representatives, industry leaders and technology organisations at the Australia–India Technology Collaboration: Trade & Investment Opportunities Roundtable at the Australian High Commission in New Delhi.
Co-hosted by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in partnership with Investment NSW and supported by Tech Council of Australia and NASSCOM, the invite-only session brought together Australian delegates and Indian companies expanding into global markets.
The roundtable was convened by Mary Overington, Trade & Investment Commissioner, South Asia.
A Practical Conversation, Not A Formal One
Rather than speeches and presentations, the session focused on open conversation. Leaders shared real experiences and explored how Australia and India can collaborate more effectively across technology, trade and investment.
Discussions centred on:
- strengthening cross-border digital innovation
- creating clearer pathways for technology partnerships and investment
- collaborating on cybersecurity and responsible AI
- helping companies scale between Australia and India
- leveraging talent and innovation ecosystems in both countries
India’s fast-growing technology landscape presents real opportunity for Australian organisations looking to expand into Asia. At the same time, Australia’s strengths in governance, research and advanced technology continue to attract strong interest globally.
Sharing VT Digital’s Cross-border Experience
Representing VT Digital Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based digital transformation and AI solutions company with strong delivery roots in India, Surender Vikram Singh and Nitin Jain shared the company’s experience supporting organisations working across borders.
They spoke about how VT Digital:

With growing operations in Sydney and delivery teams supporting global clients, VT Digital continues to help organisations navigate digital change in an increasingly connected economy.
Conversations Across Government and Industry
The roundtable also provided the opportunity to engage with key members of the Australian delegation and industry leaders, including:
- Andrew Charlton, Assistant Minister for Science, Technology & the Digital Economy
- Philip Green, Australian High Commissioner to Indi
- Jessica Hunter, Ambassador for Cyber Affairs & Critical Technology
- David Masters, Head of Global Public Policy, Atlassian
Conversations explored the future of digital collaboration, responsible AI adoption, cyber resilience, and opportunities for deeper partnerships between Australian and Indian technology ecosystems.
Just as importantly, the roundtable created space to connect with people working to strengthen long-term collaboration between the two countries.
Continuing The Dialogue at the High Commission Reception
Following the roundtable, VT Digital leaders attended a reception hosted by the Australian High Commission, where discussions continued with members of the Australian delegation to the AI Impact Summit.
The reception provided a more informal setting to continue conversations around emerging technologies, cyber policy, and responsible AI, all areas rapidly shaping the global digital economy.
Why This Collaboration Matters
Events like this reflect the growing momentum behind Australia–India cooperation in technology and digital transformation.
For VT Digital, participating in the roundtable reinforces a continued cmmitment to:
- strengthening bilateral innovation partnerships
- supporting Australian organisations expanding into global markets
- contributing to responsible and scalable AI adoption
- enabling secure, future-ready digital ecosystems
As technology reshapes economies and industries, practical collaboration between Australia and India will play an increasingly important role in building resilient, innovation-led growth.
Building Practical Partnerships for What Comes Next
The roundtable wasn’t about big announcements. It was about listening, sharing experiences, and understanding where collaboration can make a real difference.
For VT Digital, the conversations reinforced something we see every day: when Australian organisations combine local insight with global capability, new opportunities open up, not just for growth, but for long-term resilience and innovation.
